Building Project
The first phase of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s (OVC) Centre that I-CCO is building in Chawama is now almost complete. With support from the UK and from various Zambian donors, including Barclays Bank, you can see the progress made in the photos below. Once phase one is complete there will be one large classroom complete as well as an office and bathroom and kitchen facilities. 
This will be used for education, training courses and for use by the local community, as well as an office for staff and the I-CCO team. For this project we are working with two other organisations who have generously given financial support, building expertise and advice, and who are also in the process of training 8 of the young people that I-CCO support in construction skills. Much more work is required and many challenges need to be overcome in the future as there always is in these situations, but we are well on our way to achieving our goal!
